He painted The Starry Night in June 1889, after entering the asylum at Saint-Rémy. His window showed only a slice of the eastern sky. So the sky came from memory. The village came from his Dutch childhood. The cypress was real, but he stretched it into the sky. What looks like one place is actually three different worlds fused together. #FineArt #CuratedArt #ArtGallery #SilentArtGallery #Painting
