He painted The Louvres. Now he's inside it
Pissarro held Impressionism together. He was the only painter who showed at all eight exhibitions. Not Monet. Not Degas. Just him. He mentored younger artists, organized shows, and struggled financially his whole life. In 1902 he painted this view of the Louvre from the Pont Neuf. The institution the Impressionists spent their careers fighting against. He died the next year. Today his work hangs inside it. Sometimes the people who build the house never get to live in it. 🛒 Get it here: https://art.ecoartlab.store/products/impressionist-paris-frame-tv-art-monet-van-gogh-french-decor-set-40-pai
