Monet: the Call of the River
1871. Holland. Monet locks onto the water, the reflections, the light hitting the river just right. Not the windmills, not the tulips. This. A scene so close to what he'd paint a year later in Argenteuil that some old catalogs got it wrong and filed it under France. He was so taken by Zaandam he wrote to Pissarro that he could spend an entire painter's life there. He didn't. He went back to France and built Impressionism on the Seine. But it was already there. 🛒 Get it here: https://art.ecoartlab.store/collections/monet-printable-singles 🎨 EcoArtLab — Frame TV & Printable Art Transform your
