May Looks the Same Everywhere
Spring doesn't check the address before it shows up. Those trees are in full bloom. White flowers, May light coming through the leaves, a bench that looks like it belongs in any garden in the south of France. Which it does. That's the thing. Van Gogh was inside the walls of Saint-Rémy when he painted this. And the garden he saw looked exactly like your garden. Like the park down your street. Like every tree you walked past this month without really stopping to look. Same flowers. Same season. Same light.
