Impressionist, with a touch of Samba
Visconti was Italian born. Trained in Paris. Knew all the rules of impressionism. But when he painted this, he was in Brazil. And Brazil got into the painting whether he planned it or not. That color is not a French garden. That red is not a European afternoon. The light is too much. The flowers are too loud. Everything is pushing forward at once. Impressionism was built for soft northern light. Visconti took it somewhere it had never been. And the painting kind of explodes because of it. 🛒 Get it here: https://art.ecoartlab.store/products/impressionist-gardens-samsung-frame-tv-art-monet-van-
