Trained Not To Do That
John Leslie Breck learned the American academic way. Precise, controlled, dark palette, tight lines. That was American painting in the 1880s. Then he went to Giverny and saw what the French Impressionists were doing. He threw all of that out. Apple Trees, 1889: just light breaking through branches the way his eyes actually saw it. He was one of the first to bring Impressionism back to America. 🎨 EcoArtLab — Frame TV & Printable Art Transform your space with museum-quality digital art #Shorts
