Claude Monet - Sunrise Marine - 2 Hour Screensaver

This one's the little brother of the famous Impression, Sunrise, the painting that ended up naming a whole revolution. Same harbor, maybe a bit later in the morning. Same window view from the hotel room. Le Havre shows up again and again in Monet's work, painted at different hours, some even at night. Fitting, since "Havre" is the French word for haven. And that's exactly what the city was for him: not just a subject, a shelter. A safe place to stay and just make work.
