Spring 1872. Monet just moved to Argenteuil. Fifteen minutes by train from Paris, cheaper rent, sailboats on the Seine. He would stay eight years and paint everything worth painting there. The bridges, the regattas, the poppy fields. But this one feels like the beginning. The promenade along the river. Camille is probably somewhere in this painting. She always was. This was one of the first walks they took when they arrived. You don't paint a place like this unless you already know you're going to be happy there. 🛒 Get it here: https://art.ecoartlab.store/collections/claude-monet-frame-tv-set
