The Forgotten Pillar of Impressionism: Armand Guillaumin
Guillaumin was part of it from the start. He met Pissarro and Cézanne in art school. With both he built something that lasted decades. Life helped force it. They took commercial gigs together, painting window blinds for shopfronts just to eat. Later he lived next door to Cézanne. Painted side by side, pushed each other's work forward. Impressionism wasn't only about the art. It was about the relationships underneath it. Armand Guillaumin - Landscape with Figures Impressionist Collections are here.
