One of the very first Americans to do it. He didn't just paint there. He fell in love with Monet's stepdaughter. Monet shut that down fast. But before everything went sideways, Breck painted some of the most alive landscapes you'll ever see. He went back to Boston after Monet kicked him out of the inner circle.
