He had a room and a studio. They let him paint. So he painted the place that was holding him. The chapel, the walls, the field right outside. The sky moves, the ground moves, only the asylum stays still. He made about 150 paintings in that one year. This was his cage and his most productive studio at the same time. #VincentVanGo
