Cézanne painted dad’s garden

This place would be his in ten years but he didn't know it yet. For now it was his father's property and his father's rules. Cézanne was the son of a rich banker, strict as you'd expect. Had to study Law just to keep his allowance. Spent years convincing dad that art was not a hobby. And kept living there. So he painted daddy's garden and pool, like a kid proving he belonged. He inherited the estate ten years later.
