Van Gogh: The Routine That Didn't Last

This evening, Vincent decided to paint the landscape around the Château d'Auvers, ten minutes on foot from the Auberge Ravoux, where he was staying. He'd spotted the spot a few days earlier and filed it away for later. By now he had a routine down. Paint outside in the morning. Lunch at the inn. Stay in for a while. Head back out around 4pm. Dinner waiting for him when he got back, 9 or 10 at night. A month later, all of it fell apart.
