Pissarro: Eragny is enough

Pissarro didn't need the sea, or the Riviera, or even a proper garden with flowers in it. He needed rows of vegetables, a church spire poking over the rooftops, and someone walking through the yard doing chores. Eragny gave him all of that for the last twenty years of his life, and he never once got bored of painting it.
