Camille Pissarro - The Lock at Pontoise - 2 Hour Screensaver

Pissarro painted this in 1872, right after coming back from London after the war. He'd lost most of his early work. Prussian soldiers used his paintings as floor mats in his own house. So he started over. Took his family, moved to Pontoise, between Paris and the ocean, and began again from scratch. This is one of the first new paintings he made.
