Van Gogh Found His Color on This Canvas
The Dutch paintings where dark. Brown earth, grey skies. Then Paris. The city is bright and loud. The Impressionists are exploding colors everywhere. He tries to catch up, to understand what color can actually do. So he paints a s-kull. No grand landscape. No portrait. A s-kull. And he puts yellow on it. Because he needed to find out what yellow could be. Three years later that yellow is on sunflowers. On a house in Arles. On a sky full of stars that people still can't stop looking at. Yellow was born on a s-kull. 🛒 Get it here: https://art.ecoartlab.store/collections/vincent-van-gogh-frame-t
